Communications Division

The Communications Center is responsible for all public safety communications functions for the City of Marble Falls, the City of Granite Shoals, the City of Horseshoe Bay, City of Cottonwood Shores, Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire and Marble Falls Area EMS.  

Mission

It is the goal of the Marble Falls Public Safety Communications Center to provide outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers, to promote a positive workplace by supporting teamwork and to strive for excellence by continually participating in public safety communications education opportunities.

Responsibilities include;

  • 9-1-1 Call Processing
  • Non-Emergency Telephone
  • Public Safety Radio Dispatch
  • Enhanced Regional Inter-operable Communications
  • Field Communications  during Incidents and Special Events

APCO Certification

Training for Public Safety Telecommunicators, initial and continuing, is exceedingly important as they provide essential services to the public in an ever-expanding and rapidly changing public safety environment. The APCO Project 33 Agency Training Program Certification is a formal mechanism for public safety agencies to certify their training programs as meeting APCO American National Standards (ANS)
