Fire Stations
The Marble Falls Fire Department was established in 1936 and served 123 square miles. The first truck ever purchased was in 1973. This became the first Brush Truck, and it had to be push-started. The original fire station was located in the 300 block of Main Street until 1998, when the station relocated to its current location. In 1998, the City began hiring full-time firefighters, starting with Russell Daniell and then Coy Guenter. In 2002, the City formed Marble Falls Fire Rescue to service the city limits. This left the Volunteer Department as a separate entity, providing mutual aid to area cities and communities as needed.
Currently, Marble Falls Fire Rescue operates out of one station located at 700 Avenue N. The station is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The administrative offices operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and observe all city holidays.
Fire Station No. 2 is currently under construction at 1500 Thunder Rock Ave. The 8,526-square-foot facility is designed to enhance emergency response in Marble Falls, particularly in the southern portion of the community where call volume continues to grow. The station will include seven bedrooms and three apparatus bays, supporting the daily operations of Marble Falls Fire Rescue and improving overall service availability.
Built with both current needs and future growth in mind, the facility is planned to eventually house Marble Falls Area EMS personnel, strengthening coordinated emergency response. It will also feature a satellite office for the Marble Falls Police Department, promoting greater collaboration and an expanded public safety presence in the area.
