Golf Cart Safety Acknowledgement Form

  1. Safety Features*

    I acknowledge and agree that the golf cart is equipped and will utilize the following safety features: headlights, taillights, front & rear side reflectors, brake lights, fully functional braking system, parking brake, rearview mirror(s), seatbelts, and slow-moving vehicle triangle affixed and clearly visible from the rear.

  2. Operating Rules*

    I agree to the following rules: operation is authorized only on public streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less; crossing of state highways, including farm-to-market roads, is permitted only at signalized intersections; and operation is allowed only between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

  3. Legal Requirements*

    I agree to the following legal requirements: the golf cart must display a valid Texas Department of Motor Vehicles license plate; the driver must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain liability insurance in an amount not less than the minimum required by state law for motor vehicles; and all applicable traffic and parking laws must be followed at all times.

  4. Prohibited Uses*

    I agree that the following are prohibited: operation on sidewalks, hike and bike trails, playgrounds, or other public recreational areas; towing of any kind; and crossing the state highway system at the intersections of Mormon Mill Road and U.S. Highway 281, as well as FM 1431 and Bluebonnet Drive/Avenue N.
