The Highland Lakes Regional Emergency Communications Center (HLRECC) services 14 agencies between six cities in Burnet County:
- City of Marble Falls: Marble Falls Police Department, Marble Falls Fire Rescue, Marble Falls Area EMS, Marble Falls Volunteer Fire
- City of Granite Shoals: Granite Shoals Police Department, Granite Shoals Fire Rescue
- City of Horseshoe Bay: Horseshoe Bay Police Department, Horseshoe Bay Fire Rescue
- City of Cottonwood Shores: Cottonwood Shores Police Department, Cottonwood Shores Fire Rescue
- City of Burnet: Burnet Police Department, Burnet Fire, Burnet EMS
- City of Spicewood: Spicewood Fire Rescue
The HLRECC is also only one of four call centers in Texas that hold the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Agency Training Program Certification, joined by Plano, Lake Worth and Southwest Regional Call Center (SWRCC).
Mission
It is the goal of the Highland Lakes Regional Emergency Communications Center to provide outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers, to promote a positive workplace by supporting teamwork and to strive for excellence by continually participating in public safety communications education opportunities.
