The Finance Department oversees the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, the annual budget, payroll, purchasing, utility billing, and more. Their careful stewardship ensures that taxpayer dollars are managed effectively, services are funded, and projects can move forward. The department’s work is rooted in accuracy, accountability, and long-term planning to keep Marble Falls financially strong.
Their amazing work hasn't gone without recognition, as the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) recognized the City of Marble Falls with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Fiscal Year 2022–2023 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. In addition, the Finance Department earned the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for Fiscal Year 2023–2024. These awards represent the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and budgeting, underscoring the department’s commitment to excellence and transparency.
