[ARCHIVED] City of Marble Falls Appoints New City Manager

Kraenzel, Caleb

Marble Falls, TX – The City of Marble Falls is proud to announce the promotion of Caleb Kraenzel to the role of City Manager. Caleb has served the City for 20 years, most recently as Deputy City Manager. He brings a deep understanding of city operations, strong leadership, and a commitment to community values to this new role.

“Caleb has grown within our organization and proven to be a steady, thoughtful, and forward-thinking leader,” said Mayor John Packer. “This is someone who already knows our culture, understands our community, and has earned the trust of staff and Council.”

Over the years, Caleb has played a key role in projects related to infrastructure improvements, strategic planning, and fiscal management. As City Manager, he will focus on two core priorities:

  • Delivering Excellence: Consistently providing high-quality services, programs, and results that meet the needs of our community.
  • Service with Purpose: Providing timely, respectful, and solutions-focused service in every interaction, building trust and connection with our community.

“I’m incredibly honored to continue serving the Marble Falls community in this new capacity,” said Caleb. “I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside an outstanding team here, and I look forward to building on that foundation as we focus on excellence and purposeful service.”

A community meet-and-greet will be announced in the coming weeks to formally welcome Caleb to this new role.

This leadership transition follows the dedicated service of Mike Hodge, who led Marble Falls for 10 years. During his tenure, the City experienced significant infrastructure investments, improved financial stability, expanded community programs, and he leaves a strong foundation for future growth. The City thanks Mike Hodge for his steady guidance, commitment to excellence, and years of service to the Marble Falls community.

“We are deeply grateful to Mike Hodge for his years of dedicated service to Marble Falls,” said Mayor John Packer. “During his tenure, our city achieved meaningful progress in key areas, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of dedication to the community that will benefit Marble Falls for years to come.”
