Citizens Fire Academy

Accepting Applications for the 1st Annual Citizens Fire Academy

The Academy runs every Thursday evening in October from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Fire Department located at 700 Avenue N until graduation night on November 2.

Purpose - To help the citizens of Marble Falls be aware of the services that the Fire Department provides, increase fire and life safety awareness, and promote a positive image of the department to the community.

Overview of the Citizens Fire Academy - Designed for adults ages 18 and older who live in the City of Marble Falls. Each Thursday night, Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) participants will learn about a different aspect of the fire service, ranging from emergency medical services, to the hiring and training of firefighters, to special rescue operations. This is not a certification course.

Due to financial and logistical constraints, Marble Falls Fire Rescue can only accept 20 cadets into the Academy.

If you are interested in being considered for the academy, please contact Lynnette Courtney at lcourtney@marblefallstx.gov for an application. Applications can also be picked up at the Fire Department.  The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 26.
