[ARCHIVED] Lake Marble Falls Reopens with Weekend Activities on the Horizon

MARBLE FALLS, Texas – The City of Marble Falls is pleased to announce that Lake Marble Falls has officially reopened for public boating access. With improved lake conditions, boat ramps are once again open and available for recreational use.

As the lake reopens, residents and visitors should be aware of upcoming events that will temporarily impact lake and boat ramp access:

  • F1 Powerboat Championship – Battle on the Colorado: The highly anticipated F1 Powerboat Championship: Battle on the Colorado is set to take place August 1-3, bringing high-speed racing action to Lake Marble Falls. During this event, Lake Marble Falls and the Johnson Park Boat Ramp will be closed for the safety of participants and spectators. For more information and the full itinerary of events, please visit the F1 Powerboat Championship website at: f1powerboatchampionship.com/event/marble-falls-tx
  • Summer Concert Series: As part of the Summer Concert Series, a live concert performed by the Texas Trio, which is comprised of Kyle Park, Jason Roberts and John Michael Whitby, will be held at Johnson Park on Friday, August 1. Please note that the parking located by the Johnson Park Boat Ramp will be unavailable to the general public during the event.

The LCRA is advising people to stay off the Highland Lakes at night to avoid debris, and to steer clear of cloudy, murky, or foul-smelling water, as well as any areas with visible flood debris or disturbed sediment, where bacteria are more likely to be present.

We encourage everyone to enjoy the lake and weekend festivities safely and respectfully. Please observe all signage, follow safety guidance, and plan for event-related closures and congestion.
