The City of Marble Falls is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a total of $45,350,700 in financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). This funding will support the One Water Marble Falls Project.
The funding is comprised of a combination of low-interest loans and grants. The total loan portion is $27 million, and the total grant portion is $18 million. The funding will be used to cover the costs of the construction of the new treatment plant. Additionally, it will help offset financing costs, including professional services and issuance fees.
This funding package is part of a larger financing strategy for designing and constructing One Water Marble Falls Project, a transformative $87 million initiative funded through TWDB loans and grants, federal grants, and City-issued bonds.
"This financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board represents a major investment in the future of Marble Falls," said Mike Hodge, the City Manager. "These funds will help us advance the construction of the One Water Marble Falls Project."
