Public health and safety remain the City of Marble Falls’ top priority. After conferring with Public Health Officials and Marble Falls Emergency Management, the Parks and Recreation Department has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Spring Break Program. Although there is no known case of COVIDF-19 (Coronavirus) within Marble Falls, the cancellation will help the community with the “social distancing” that is necessary to slow the spread of the virus at this critical stage.
This decision was not made lightly, and we understand this cancellation is extremely difficult for the community, volunteers, and partnering businesses. Currently, all parks remain open, but we encourage visitors to practice safe handwashing techniques and refrain from physical contact with other persons.
We encourage you to refer to www.cdc.gov or www.dshs.texas.gov for up-to-date information on the status of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to follow the prevention measures and personal care recommendations.
Thank you for your support and understanding. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates on the City’s website as they become available.
