The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce and the City of Marble Falls and the Southern Drag Boat Association are excited to announce that Lakefest will return in 2020.
Over the course of the last few months numerous meetings have been held regarding hosting Lakefest 2019. After much deliberation, it was determined that Marble Falls’ City Parks will not be ready to host the event and accommodate spectators, racers and their crews this year.
“We feel that in August there will still be a lot of work to completed in Lakeside Park and the traditional boat race viewing areas just won’t be ready for a lot of foot traffic." City Manager Mike Hodge
Organizers will be working diligently between now and next year to plan, promote, and provide an awesome two-day experience in our newly renovated parks for Lakefest 2020.
