The City of Marble Falls has been awarded TxDOT grant funding to construct sidewalks for pedestrian safety throughout our residential neighborhoods. The Tri-Campus Connectivity Project is part of the Safe Routes to School Program. The project includes 6-foot sidewalks on one side of portions of Avenue U, Broadway, Avenue Q, Northwood Drive, and Terrace Drive, providing connectivity to Marble Falls Elementary, Marble Falls Middle School, Falls Career High School, HEB, the Boys & Girls Club and City parks. Construction will begin in October 2023, with an anticipated construction time of eleven (11) months.
In addition to the nearly 2.5 miles of sidewalk being added, this project will add various concrete driveway approaches and street curbs.
The City of Marble Falls appreciates residents’ cooperation and patience during this time, as we are excited to provide this vital safety improvement. Accommodations will always be made for property owners, postal service, and emergency services.
