Alarm License

Any individual (business or resident) who installs an alarm system within the City limits of Marble Falls must obtain an Alarm License through the Marble Falls Police Department. The cost for a Commercial Alarm License is $20 annually and the cost for a Residential Alarm License is $10 annually. Alcohol License/Permit for Business and Restaurant Owners

Any business or restaurant owner who manufactures, sells, distributes or stores alcoholic beverages, or engages in any other activity with relation to the same must obtain a City Alcohol License through the Marble Falls Police Department.

The fee for this license is equal to one-half the permit or license feel charged by the State under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code (T.A.B.C.). You must provide a current copy of your T.A.B.C. Alcohol Consumption/Sales Permit  -  City Parks

A permit must be obtained to consume and/or sell alcoholic beverages of any kind in any City Park. Individuals must provide a copy of their Park Reservation Permit/License Agreement for use of the park in order to obtain an Alcohol Consumption/Sales Permit. Alcohol Consumption Permits are $25 and Alcohol Sales Permits are $100. Permits are issued by the Parks and Recreation Department at 830-798-6250 or email.

Animal Licensing

All dogs and cats that are owned and kept within the City limits of Marble Falls are required to be licensed through the Marble Falls Police Department. To license your pet, please contact Animal Control at 830-693-3611. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required in order to obtain a City License. View the ordinance.

Garage Sale Permit

To conduct a garage sale in the City limits a permit must be obtained. A permit shall be issued only twice within a twelve-month period and the permit shall be for no more than four (4) consecutive calendar days. The permit must be displayed on the premises upon which the garage sale is conducted throughout the entire period of the permitted sale. Permits can be obtained at the Development Services Department. There is no fee for the permit. View the ordinance.

Handbill Permit

A permit is required for the distribution of handbills, posters, advertisements, pamphlets and circulars. Commercial Applicants - $75. Nonprofit Organizations - $10. Individuals (for noncommercial purposes) - $35. There is no fee for individuals and organizations distributing noncommercial handbills which contain political, religious, or public policy information. Kennel License

Any person or group engaged in the commercial business of breeding, buying, selling, or boarding nay animal or animals, excluding any person who is a passive or occasional breeder of not more than one (1) litter per calendar year must obtain a Commercial Kennel License through the Marble Falls Police Department. Solicitor Permit (includes Food Vendors)

Vendors soliciting or engaging in business within the City limits must obtain a permit from the City. Permits are issued by the City Secretary’s Office. View the ordinance.  Apply for a solicitor permit.

Note: If you are a vendor participating in an event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce or other event approved in which a Special Event Permit has been issued by the City you are NOT required to apply for a Solicitor Permit from the City.

Special Event Permit

A permit is required to conduct a Special Event. 

The City recognizes the need to encourage and promote events.  The Special Event Permit process is intended to provide a safe, orderly means for special events to be held with the City limit.  All regulations are deemed necessary for the protection of the health, safety and general welfare of the volunteers, members and their patrons.
